If you are going on holiday and travelling with children, it is nice to have the children safely seated in a child seat during your ride to the airport. A holiday with children is always exciting for everyone. After a busy preparation, you are finally in the taxi that takes you safely to the airport. The children can sit in a seat just like in your own car and so you start a nice relaxing holiday. Many taxi companies do not offer child seats, but we at Airport-Taxiservices attach great importance to transporting passengers with children and therefore also have child seats available for all ages. The numbers are also no problem for us, if you have several children of different ages, then we have several child seats available for each age. We are happy to tell you about the costs and types of child seats that we have. We have 3 types of child seats, namely the maxicosy for the very smallest children or babies. The successor to the maxicosy is the child seat. And for children from 1.35 meters we also have a booster seat.
Maxi-cosy
Type 1: is suitable for a baby not older than 13 months
Child Seat
Type 2: is suitable from 13 months up to a height of 1.35 meters
Booster
Type 3: is suitable for a height of 1.35 meters or more
Child seat costs
The cost of renting child seats is €5 each and per trip. When booking your taxi, you can indicate which child seats you need. For example, if you book a single trip and you need 2 seats, 1 maxi-cosy and 1 child seat, then an additional €10 will be added. For a return trip, you will then pay €10 for the outward journey and €10 for the return journey, a total of €20 for renting the child seats. You will see the options for renting child seats on the 3rd page of your reservation.
Waiting time or delay
The child seats are not standard in the taxi. Unfortunately, we cannot leave the child seats in the taxi, because then we no longer have room for the luggage of other customers. If you have reserved a child seat, it is possible that the waiting time at the airport or from your home address may be slightly longer than standard, this is due to the special collection of your seat. If your flight is delayed, it is possible that the driver cannot collect your child seats specially and does not have them with him. In this case, you will receive your money back that you paid for your child seat. Because having a child seat in the taxi is not mandatory, this is not a reason to refuse the taxi. The taxis at the airport do not have child seats in the taxi anyway.
Child seats not required in taxis
Taxis are not legally required to have child seats in the taxi. The children are allowed to sit in the taxi and be transported without seats.
